You know you have a little problem when you start getting excited about opening letters just to see what pattern the inside holds. So Many patterns. Who gets the important job of deciding what patterns the companys envolopes shall hold., I wonder. Ha. Im getting that job... and im going to design them too.

Coco Chocolate

Had a lovely day in Edinburgh putting some work up in Coco. A chocolate shop of pure joy. Had the best hot chocolate ever, yummy. Thanks Kirsten!. So look out for my Coco wallpaper hanging in the window, Dylan Moran has already seen it, and nearly up my skirt! He walked in while I was at the top of a ladder.

Nostalgia

Working like a madman on some secret projects, so patterns today are off, but keeping to my blogging rutine. My brother had his interview for Art School today, completely brung back all those nerves and dealine stress I remember enduring. He did it, he made his film in two weeks, cutting it so close to the dealine he was still editing on the train there, first class of course for a bit of socket action.
With these nostaligic memories I dug out the first patterns I presented in my illustration class.  Nice to remember where it all started. I still kinda like them, maybe I need to get back to some laboureous line drawing again.

Blue sky wednesdays

Took advantage of the lovely summer skies today, and noticed a lovely bit of pattern in all the horrible building works. (Although it does look like the x-factor 'x' behind it!) That was after I got past the stench of the lovely porto-loo right outside ma window. The piece isn't quite finished yet, its a commission im working on.

Found these cigarette cards today, from another era. What a bit of inspiration. My particular favourite is that prize poodle! Love the 'Aerial Navigation' cards though 56 cards illustrating a different type of flying machine.

The attached smoking adice is  'If you do smoke cigerettes. Leave a long stub. Remove from mouth between puff, inhale less. Take fewer puffs. '
